Sina Sayadi Moghadam received his Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran. In addition to his normal study and research activities, Sina participated in Tehran bridges retrofitting projects in which he vastly improved his knowledge and skills in nonlinear finite element modelling and analysis, and assessment of the structures. Sina is mostly interested in joining team projects and research activities. For instance, after graduation, he participated in the evaluation and rehabilitation project of damaged buildings from the 7.2M earthquake of November 12th, 2017 in western Iran as the leader of the rehabilitation group. Furthermore, as he is ever fascinated to learn about dynamic characteristics of structures, he has also been a member of the Structural Health Monitoring Group at the University of Tehran in a project focused on Ambient Vibration Test on damaged buildings. Sina is passionate about programming and modeling of innovative and novel structural behavior, as well as participating in large-scale international projects. Therefore, in the SMARTINCS project, he will have the opportunity to develop a coupled multiscale numerical model of self-healing systems through science-based approach. This, indeed, occupies an important role in the development of self-healing material systems, and in the analysis and design of structures formed from these materials, as well.
