TRAINING

SMARTINCS will offer original and advanced trainings in the development and use of smart and self-healing materials for sustainable and durable concrete construction and renovation to 15 early stage researchers. A targeted training program offers training through

Training school 1:

Fracture theory and modelling, self-healing technologies and monitoring of healing efficiency – TU Delft (The Netherlands)


Training school 2:

Repair technologies and smart solutions – University of Cambridge (United Kingdom)


 Training school 3:

Durability and service life of concrete structures in aggressive environments – CSIC (Spain)


Training school 4:

Entrepreneurial skills, field application and standardization –  Politecnico di Milano (Italy)

OPEN WORKSHOP

An open Research Workshop will be organized in March 2021 in Cambridge. The program will include:

  • Keynote lectures on recent advances in self-healing cementitious systems
  • Short presentations by the early stage researchers

CONFERENCE

At the end of the fellows’ active period (May 2023) a 2 days conference will be organised in Ghent covering all SMARTINCS topics, providing a forum not only for dissemination of SMARTINCS results, but also for presentations by other research groups worldwide in this field.
